The Hypnotherapy Process

What are sessions like?

I work with clients privately online via Zoom, or in person at my Harley Street practice in London. Every session is confidential, highly personalised, and designed around you, your goals, your pressures, your patterns of thinking, and the changes you want to create.

This is not a “one size fits all” process.

Some clients come to me because anxiety, pressure or overthinking are beginning to affect their confidence, relationships or performance. Others are already highly successful, but want greater calm, focus, emotional control or consistency under pressure.

Our work together is tailored accordingly.

Sessions combine elements of:

  • clinical hypnotherapy
  • solution-focused approaches
  • performance psychology
  • calm-state mental conditioning
  • guided visualisation
  • practical cognitive and behavioural coaching

The aim is to help you create meaningful change, not just during sessions, but in how you think, feel and respond in everyday life.

Your First Session

The first appointment lasts approximately 90 minutes.

We begin by exploring:

  • what has brought you here
  • what you would like to change
  • how your mind currently responds under pressure
  • what you would like life to feel like instead

I explain clearly how the process works, how the brain forms patterns and habits, and how calm-state change work can help interrupt cycles of anxiety, stress, fear or self-limitation.

We also explore your strengths, resources, goals and the future you want to move towards, not simply the problem itself.

The final part of the session involves guided hypnosis and deep relaxation work, carefully tailored to you. Most clients describe this as deeply calming, grounding and mentally clarifying.

Ongoing Sessions

Follow-up sessions last approximately 60 minutes.

These sessions help reinforce change, strengthen new thinking patterns and build greater emotional resilience and calm authority over time.

We review:

  • what has improved
  • what you are noticing
  • what situations or triggers are arising
  • where you would like to focus next

Each session then moves into guided hypnosis and calm-state mental conditioning work designed specifically around your needs.

Clients also receive personalised audio recordings to use between sessions. These help reinforce the work and allow the brain to continue practising calmer, healthier responses outside the session environment.

Initial Consultation

For first-time clients, I offer a brief complimentary phone or Zoom consultation so we can discuss your needs and explore whether this approach feels right for you.

Important Information

In some cases, hypnotherapy work may need to be carried out alongside medical or psychological support from your doctor, consultant or psychotherapist. If this applies to your situation, I will discuss this openly and professionally with you during the consultation process
